How to post specialty event information
The club secretary or appointed representative should use the Event Results Form.
Please include the name of the show, date of the show, type of shows, judges, show superintendent and contact information, and site location. If you have additional information eg entry forms, premium listings, host hotels, or dinner/lunch reservations, please forward them by email. The posting will be added to the show calendar. If you have changes or additions, please forward them referencing the specific show date. One can send the information as soon as the AKC paperwork is filed.
NOTICE To Event Secretaries — Regional Clubs are reminded that your Event Secretary needs to file a letter with the STCA Corresponding Secretary requesting approval for your show before applying to the AKC. The STCA approval letter and event application are due at the AKC twenty four (24) weeks prior to the proposed closing date.
How to post specialty event results
The STCA will post show results as soon as the information is received from the club’s Event Secretary or appropriate representative. Send the information through the Event Results Form. The STCA will make every effort to post information as quickly as possible; however, accuracy will be emphasized over speed. Official sources such as the Event Secretary or the AKC or the show superindentent will be our primary source.
Please include show and date(s), the judge’s name, dog/bitch distribution, winners for each class (2-4 placements can be sent also) , best of winners, reserve best of winners, best of breed, best of opposite sex, select, awards of merit, specialty class winners/reserves, and any other awards. Please include the dogs complete AKC name and gender(D/B) for each placement. Please repeat the listing if the dog wins multiple classes. If desired, one can include owners or breeders name. However, this must be consistent ie for all winners or none.
