SALUTING OUR SERVICE SCOTTIES!! We want to honor you and your Scottie!
This winter, the STCA recognized Scottish Terrier SGT. MacGregor MacGregor, a Scottie working with the American Red Cross on Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. We honored SGT. MacGregor MacGregor upon his promotion to SGT and named him a goodwill ambassador to the breed for his love of service and the work he performed day in and day out as a therapy dog.
Inspired by his service, the STCA holds its first parade to posthumously honor SGT. MacGregor MacGregor AND STCA's members' Service Scotties who not only give of themselves to their families, but also that which they give so generously to others.
Parade will begin at 4 p.m, Thurs., Oct. 5 just before the start of the STCA's Indpendent Parent Specialty. Each participant will be invited to join us for dinner.

The Committee thanks all the Scottie owners and breeders worldwide who participated in the STCA's survey. We had an excellent response with 1,520 surveys submitted! The Committee is crunching the data and working on the final phase of our task: a full report with realistic recommendations to the Club to address the decline in Scottie numbers. The Committee will have a preliminary report for the STCA Board this month with a final presentation to the membership on Thursday evening, October 5th.

STC Greater Atlanta - Fala Day! Always a celebratory event Warm Springs, GA. It's a gathering to recognize the "remarkable and enduring legacy of the strong and inspiring bond between President Roosevelt and his beloved Scottie Fala." A cherished portion of the program includes a reading of those who have passed over the Rainbow Bridge, followed by a parade of Scottish Terriers led by a bagpiper. Check their website for details.
Greater Dallas STC - Scottie fun with grab bags! At this year's auction, each grab bag was filled with a Scottie prize. Fun for all and a great fundraiser for the Club.
STC Greater Dayton - This club loves creating great themes for its annual specialty show. 2018 Specialty theme is set to go: "Pirates of the Caribbarkean."
STC Greater Houston- Paint Parties: socializing, fun, non-competitive outings held twice a year. And two more club favorites: a Chinese gift exchange at STCGH's Christmas party and the Annual Specialty Banquet.
