The results listed above are partial and tenative. They will be reviewed and verified by the Tally Committee and membership prior to the final publication in the Bagpiper awards issue and the awards presentation at the following year’s October STCA Club Dinner.
The Bagpiper only lists the top 10 qualifying positions for each award. Additional positions are provided to aid in determining your position and/or deal with errors and with non-member owners who might be in the list.
All titles are published except known non-member owners.
If you have any issues or problems with this award or another award or title, please send a feedback form with details. The Tally committee will make every effort to respond to your issue. However, as a volunteer group, response to your particular request may take time.
The AKC typically publishes information on or around the end of the month following the month of completion of a show or a title. For example, March awards and titles are made available at the end of April. This data is the basis for all awards and titles.
The AKC Conformation data, awards and titls reports will attempt to follow the above schedule as closely as reasonably possible. (Look under Awards and Titles -> specific year listings -> AKC Conformation Data)
The reports will change. Corrections will show-up as soon as the data is corrected.
When sending a feedback form please be specific as possible and include:
- Your name
- Contact information : at least an email and possibly phone number
- Award or title
- Dog’s name
- What is wrong.
My dog is not included:
With all awards reports, not all dogs are shown. The display is limited to the top placing dogs. However, all dogs and points for an award are tracked.
This and all other awards and title reports only display known members and owners whose membership is not known. If any owner is not a member or is no longer a member, then that dog is not eligible for any award and is not displayed in this report. All owners’ membership will be determined prior to the final report.
There is a detailed conformation data listing for each show and each award (Look under Awards and Titles -> specific year listings -> AKC Conformation Data) The AKC Conformation and AKC Companion reports do show all dogs whether a STCA member or not.
Send the dog’s name and ownership information along with a few shows or titling dates. There is no need to include every show or listing.
Do not send any follow-up information unless specifically requested.
Depending on the issue, more information may be required eg scan of title, superintendent’s show listing.
There will be follow-up from the Tally committee to track down the omission.
My dog’s points are wrong.
Send the dog, ownership, and award. The Tally committee will follow-up with detailed information on what they have for your dog’s tally for you to verify.
Some of the awards have less than straight forward mechanisms for scoring. Bare this in mind when reviewing the details and how points are awarded.
Note: Currently the Tally committee will not be sending out lists of what was earned at each show for each dog to each owner. However, there is a detailed conformation data listing for each show and each award ( Look under Awards and Titles -> specific year listings -> AKC Conformation Data ). The owners and members are welcome to use this information as they desire.
Dog’s name is wrong:
Send the corrected spelling with current titles.
Note: Title information should reflect the dog’s current titles and not the title at the time of the award. So some puppies may be listed with a championship title. Dog titles and the reported title received may not match.
The title information may be inconsistent with the title information in the pedigree database. These are independently maintained databases. Address them separately.
Owner’s name is wrong.
Send the owner’s name along with the dog and when the ownership started (or ended)
Different spelling or spacing or initial combinations is considered different.
Names are changed over time to reflect the information being sent by the AKC.
If any owner is not a member or is no longer a member, then that dog is not eligible for any award and is not displayed in any report. If an owner cannot be identified, they may be marked as a non-member.
Note: Different ordering of names is not considered incorrect. However, effort can be made to place ownership in a particular order.
Owner Is Not an STCA Member.
If any owner is not a member or is no longer a member of the STCA, then that dog is not eligible for any award.
This report only displays known members and owners whose membership is not known. Owners who have been identified as non-member are excluded from the award and this report.
All owners’ membership for the top award positions will be determined prior to the final report.
If you are aware that a particular owner(s) is not a current member, please identify the particular person. Due to the use of initials, people may be misidentified.
